Will a Dual Monitor Setup with My 4060ti Work Fine?

I'm currently using a 4060ti in a prebuilt system with a 27" 1080p monitor at 240Hz. I'm planning to add a second monitor—24" at 100Hz—and I'll connect that to the DisplayPort on my GPU. My main monitor is already plugged into the only HDMI port. I mainly game on the primary display and want to use the second one for chat while streaming or multitasking. I'm curious if having one monitor connected via HDMI and the other via DisplayPort will cause any issues.

In short, you will be absolutely fine. The extra load of a second monitor is minimal. If performance is a concern, just set the second monitor to 60fps. You might need to tweak some settings for alignment and FPS after setting it up, but it shouldn't be an issue.

At Full HD, it's smooth sailing! You might notice some VRAM strain at 1440p with certain games. But with dual FHD monitors, you're in the clear.

I run a dual monitor setup too; my main is a 1440p 144Hz displayed with a 2070 Super, and I’ve had no issues at all. You should have no worries!

Honestly, people have been running dual monitors in setups like yours for over a decade without any problems. You're good to go!

I run dual 1440p monitors with a 3060ti, and everything works perfectly for me. You're going to be just fine with your setup!

Best practice is to use DisplayPort for your gaming monitor and HDMI for the secondary one. This way, you maximize performance!

Same setup here! No issues to report whatsoever.

For optimal setup, use HDMI for the lower Hz monitor since DisplayPort can handle higher resolutions and refresh rates. Keep that in mind!
