Why is my RAM at 100% when usage seems to be only half?

Hey everyone! I've been having some serious issues with my PC lately. Despite my active processes adding up to less than 8 GB of usage, my RAM is showing 100% usage, leading to crashes while I'm gaming and watching YouTube on a second monitor. I upgraded to a 5070ti video card about a month ago, but these problems only started this past week. My PC doesn't crash to a BSOD; it simply hangs with continued audio but a frozen video, making everything unresponsive. Here are my specs: Windows 11, Intel Core i7 8700k running at 4300 core speed, an ASRock Z370 Extreme4 motherboard, and 16 GB of DDR4 RAM at 3200 MHz (2x8 GB). Any idea what could be going on?

If you've replaced your PSU along with the GPU, make sure the wattage is adequate for your components. Also, keep an eye on temperatures. Sometimes it could be a cooling issue or a RAM problem. Have you done any troubleshooting so far?

Yeah, I replaced the PSU when I upgraded the GPU since my old one didn't meet the requirements. As for temps, they're all under 80°C and I've got water cooling on the CPU.

You might want to check if there's a memory leak happening. Have you tried using a tool like RAMMap? It can show you what's actually cached in memory because Windows tends to keep frequently used apps loaded. That way, you can see if something's hogging your RAM.
