How Can I Stop Intel From Automatically Installing Outdated Graphics Drivers?

I've been having a frustrating issue where Intel keeps automatically installing outdated graphics drivers when I leave my computer unattended. The screen goes black for a moment, and then these old drivers install without any warning or notification, leading to some crazy graphical glitches. Does anyone know how I can prevent these outdated drivers from being forced onto my system?

Have you checked how the drivers are being installed? It might be through Windows Update or the Intel Graphics Software. It’s worth looking into those settings.

I’m not sure how they install either. It just happens, and I see the screen turn black briefly but no alerts or anything.

I faced the same issue before! I just disabled Windows Updates completely to stop it from automatically updating my drivers. That worked for me when I had glitches too.

I did that too, but I actually set it so that Windows can’t mess with those specific drivers anymore. It helped.
