Struggling with Group Policy Lockout Settings

I've been managing group policies for our organization, and recently I changed the computer lock timeout from 90 minutes to just 10 minutes. A lot of users weren't happy about it, so now I've created an exception for a specific group. However, they are still getting locked out after 10 minutes. Even though I enforced the new rule, the original policy still applies to all authenticated users. I'm not very experienced with these specific group policy settings since I've mostly worked on the server and network sides of things. Any advice would be appreciated! Edit: Just wanted to say that I figured out the issue – my test computer now stays unlocked for over 18 minutes!

First, try running `gpresult /h` on the affected machines to check what policies are currently being applied. This can highlight if they're in the right Organizational Unit (OU). If they're not, adjust their OU location so the correct policy applies, or you could deny the original policy for those specific users.

I may have already sorted it out myself. My test computer is still running and is showing 15:38 without a lockout. It's linked to the specific groups now. If this changes, I'll definitely follow your advice!
