Hey folks! So I've got this MacBook Air 2018 that's got a busted screen and a keyboard that doesn't work. Fortunately, I've found another MacBook Air 2018 with a functional screen and keyboard, but sadly, the logic board and battery in that one are dead. I'm thinking of swapping my working motherboard and battery into this new body. I've done some hardware repairs before, and it seems manageable. Before diving in, I wanted to ask if this swap will work without issues. Are there any compatibility concerns or reassembly quirks I should be aware of? Any advice from those who've tackled this kind of project would be super helpful! Thanks in advance!

iFixit rates the repairability of your model at a 3/10, which means you might run into some issues during the swap. It’s considered a complex operation, so it really depends on how confident you feel with your skills. But overall, you can definitely do it, just be prepared for some hiccups!
Should be fine! The motherboard is integrated, so it shouldn't matter much that it's in a new chassis. Just make sure everything is connected properly.
That’s what I thought too, but I’ve heard some devices don’t recognize parts from another unit. Still, I'm going for it, thanks!
Good luck finding someone who's done this swap! You might be better off just getting a working unit for around $200, that way you save on the hassle!
