I recently upgraded my gaming PC for the first time since 2018, and while I replaced the case, motherboard, CPU, PSU, RAM, and added a new 2TB SSD, I kept my old GPU and the original SSD. The guy at Microcenter mentioned that I might need to do a fresh install of Windows 10. However, when I powered it up, everything booted to my regular desktop after a BIOS request for an FTPM reset. Should I go ahead with a fresh install, or can I keep using it as is since it appears to be functioning okay?

You shouldn't need to reinstall Windows unless you're replacing your boot SSD. The OS is likely still running from your existing drive. It seems the guy at Microcenter misunderstood your setup—you only added storage, so you're all set!
If your system is booting up and running fine, there's no urgent need to reinstall Windows. Just make sure the new SSD is initialized and formatted properly using Windows tools if you don't see it in the system. You should be good to go!
New SSDs just won't work like flash drives out of the box; you have to format them. Glad you figured that out! As for Windows, since your old SSD is still in play, you shouldn’t need to reinstall it.
Thanks for clarifying! I'm relieved I don't need to reinstall Windows.
Got it, thanks! The SSD part is sorted, but I'm still curious about whether I really need that fresh install.
