I built a PC last summer with an AM4 motherboard featuring a Ryzen 7 5700X3D. In hindsight, I realize I'm limited in upgrade options without also swapping out my RAM and motherboard. Right now, I game at 1440p and do 3D work without issues, but I'm concerned about potential CPU bottlenecking if I upgrade to a better GPU. Should I wait until around 2027/2028 for the AM6 announcement, or is my current setup sufficient?

Your 5700X3D should easily last another few years. Bottlenecking becomes a concern mostly with super high-end GPUs at low resolutions. At 1440p, there's no issue. You could pair it with something like an RTX 5070 Ti without worry. Just upgrade your monitor later if needed!
I totally agree. I'm just gonna ride out my setup till the next console generation shakes things up.
If you're pretty happy with your current setup, just hold onto it. If it runs well for you, why change?
Honestly, it sounds like you're fine for now! Don't stress too much about CPU bottlenecking. If you want a better GPU, go for it! The 5700X3D is still a solid processor.
You might even consider selling your current setup since it still holds value. I switched from AM4 to AM5 last year without spending much, and the new 7000 series CPUs are getting cheaper too.
Worrying about a CPU bottleneck is pretty pointless for you right now. Plus, if you ever notice a game struggling, remember you can always FPS limit it to smooth things out.

I have the same combo: a 5700X3D and a 5070 Ti. At 1440p, it runs great for me. I've only noticed any CPU strain during big events in games like Guild Wars 2, but everywhere else it's smooth sailing.
