Should I choose a 2-fan or 3-fan RTX 5070 for my build?

I'm about to build a new desktop with an RTX 5070 (getting it at 569 Euro, which is pretty much MSRP here in The Netherlands) to upgrade from my RTX 3070 laptop. Here's my planned setup: an AMD Ryzen 5 7600x3D, ASUS GeForce RTX 5070 DUAL, ASRock B850M-X WIFI R2.0 motherboard, 32GB Corsair DDR5 RAM, Chieftec VITA Series 850W power supply, Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB, and a Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE CPU fan.

I'm stuck on whether to go for the dual-fan ASUS variant or the 3-fan Gigabyte option, which costs 580 Euros and takes 4 days to deliver compared to just 1 day for the ASUS. Benchmarks show both perform similarly, but the dual-fan variant runs slightly hotter. I'm not planning to overclock, and I'm okay with some noise since I generally use headphones. Should I just get the dual fan setup, or could the temperature issue lead to long-term hardware problems? Also, if you have suggestions for improving my build, I'm all ears!

The RAM you've chosen might be on the slower side; I suggest looking for something like 6000MHz, which could really help with overall performance. Also, both the 2-fan and 3-fan GPUs seem fine based on your notes, but heat management can flexibly be improved with undervolting, so it's not too big of a deal. Just double-check that any new GPU you select fits in your case!

Honestly, either GPU option should work well for you. The performance difference isn't huge, and the dual-fan setup can still manage heat decently. I would recommend definitely upgrading your RAM to 6000MHz for better performance overall. Just a heads up, be cautious about that power supply; I’d check reviews to ensure it’s reliable!

Thanks for the RAM tip! I’ll check for a better PSU too.
