Hey everyone! I just got a GeForce RTX 3080 Founders Edition as a gift, and I'm looking to build a complete PC for under $500. I'm hoping to go with an AMD CPU for this build. Any suggestions or help would be much appreciated! Thanks!

If you're open to it, a 12700K combo could be a good option and it's pretty affordable too.
Check out this build I found: [PCPartPicker Build](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/tpVqJn). To really make use of that 3080, you should aim for about $600 (not including the case) to avoid cutting corners. Going with a $600 budget will give you a solid AM5 socket setup, which will allow for better upgrades in the future.
I think you're right. I might have to stretch my budget to at least $600.
Was considering the 7700X over the 9600X, but thanks for the solid recommendations!
I'm really not looking to go with Intel, though.
