I recently bought an Asus ROG Strix x670E-E motherboard on eBay, and while the item was sealed and claimed to be new, I forgot to check the AM5 socket upon its arrival. Now that I've finally put everything together, I've noticed that it seems to have some missing pins. Is it safe to try and use the motherboard as it is to test if everything works, or could that potentially cause further damage to my other components?

You definitely should take a close-up picture of the socket to see the damage better. Posting it on Imgur is a good idea; that way, others can help you assess if it’s really that bad. Can't believe you missed that during inspection, but it happens!
