Hey everyone! I recently upgraded from an RTX 2060 to an AMD 9070 (I went with the hellhound model for the quieter performance). I expected a massive FPS boost after five years of tech advances, but I'm only seeing about a 10 FPS increase even when I bump up the graphics settings. Am I missing something here? Just to clarify, I'm using a Ryzen 3700x CPU, and yes, I've already installed the necessary drivers and software. Thanks for your help!

Given that you're running a Ryzen 3700x, your CPU might be a bit of a bottleneck. Since the 3700x is a few generations old and has 2 CCDs, it might not be performing at its best in certain games. You might want to consider upgrading your CPU to fully utilize the 9070's capabilities.
Have you tried using DDU to clean out your old drivers? Also, clear the shader cache in your launcher, like Steam. Those steps can sometimes help with performance issues. Just a thought!
Your upgrade should be significant, but keep in mind that if you're using high graphics settings, it can put a strain on the CPU, leading to lower overall performance. You might also want to check if your settings are optimized for your hardware.
You should definitely see a noticeable upgrade from the 2060 to the 9070. However, since your CPU is only being utilized at 30-40%, it might not be your GPU that's letting you down. Running benchmarks could help figure out if the CPU is the real culprit.
Got it! I'll check my CPU performance too.
