Is ADATA RAM Worth Buying for My Laptop?

I'm in a tight spot and need a better laptop for school, but funds are low. I found some ADATA 2400 MHz 8GB RAM at a really low price, which made me a bit suspicious. Should I go for it or is ADATA known for being unreliable? I've heard mixed reviews and need to make a decision soon.

I've used ADATA products without any issues! I’ve had several RAM sticks and SSDs from them, and while they're not the fastest, they haven't failed me. You might want to give it a shot!

Thanks! That calms my nerves a bit since I've heard some wild stories.

How much RAM do you currently have? You mentioned 4GB; upgrading should definitely help!

ADATA is actually a decent brand, trust me! I’ve got around 7TB of their SSDs and their RAM has been reliable for me since 2020. The price is probably low because it's DDR4, which is getting older now as DDR5 is becoming standard. But for basic use, it should be fine.

Ugh, I wish DDR4 wasn't getting old! Thanks for the tip!

Just make sure to compare prices across stores before purchasing. Sometimes you can find good deals elsewhere!

I have two QNAP NAS devices with ADATA RAM, and they've been running perfectly fine for over a decade. It’s not premium RAM, but it definitely gets the job done. I've even tried cheaper brands before, and they didn't work nearly as well as ADATA.

That's reassuring! I like the sound of that.
