Hey everyone! I just installed a new water cooler for my i9 12900KF, and to my horror, I discovered that the CPU was bent due to heat. Now, my PC won't boot at all—the fans start up but then shut off immediately. Is replacing the CPU my only option here? I'm really hoping there's a fix!

That’s a bummer! If the CPU is only bending under the pressure of the cooler, you might have a chance to fix it. Try checking if the mounting hardware is too tight and loosen the screws evenly. If that doesn’t work, consider getting a contact frame for better support.
If you can see the CPU is actually bent, it might be hard to fix. Some users have had luck bending them back gently, but it can be risky. Just keep in mind, if it's too bent, replacing it could be your safest bet.
I don’t think heat actually caused the bend. It’s more likely a result of how the cooler was installed. Make sure you mount it evenly next time. If you’ve overtightened it, that could definitely be the issue.
