I'm currently using an Intel Core i5-12400F with an Asus B660m WiFi motherboard. I'm looking to upgrade my GPU to a 9070XT, replacing my 3070. What CPU would be a good upgrade option for me while still keeping my motherboard?

Since your B660 supports 12th, 13th, and even some 14th gen Intel CPUs, a good strategy might be to upgrade the GPU first. After that, you can reassess whether you want to go for a CPU upgrade later.
I had a similar setup, but I switched to AMD because my B660m wasn't great for overclocking. If your motherboard is decent, sticking with Intel and upgrading to a 13600 or 13700 could work, but otherwise, consider jumping to AM5 for a significant upgrade.
Honestly, if your motherboard isn’t great with VRMs and it's using DDR4, it’s probably not worth upgrading the CPU while keeping it. You might want to save for a better motherboard if you go higher-end.
I'd recommend checking out the i7 12700KF or 13700KF. They'd offer a solid performance boost without having to ditch your current setup.
It really depends on your gaming resolution. If you're playing at higher resolutions like 1440p or 4K, you might be able to hold off on the CPU upgrade for now and focus on getting that GPU first.
