Help! My Lenovo Laptop Screen is Acting Up

Hey everyone, I'm having some major issues with my Lenovo laptop. Recently, while browsing on Chrome, I noticed some black horizontal lines flickering on the screen, and then it turned into a blank gray display, although the backlight was still on. After freezing, I managed to restart it, but it just stayed black. After waiting for about an hour, it finally booted up again, but the flickering and gray screen returned. I've also found that if I pick it up by the corners when it goes blank, the screen sometimes comes back on, though it remains frozen. I did try connecting it to an HDMI, but couldn't get it to work since I had issues during boot. A local repair shop said it might need a full motherboard replacement. Any ideas on what could be going on? The laptop still powers on, and the keyboard backlight works fine during this chaos!

It sounds like you might be dealing with a few different problems here. It could be an issue with the internal monitor, the motherboard, or even the OS causing the display troubles. One quick thing you can check is if the Num Lock or Caps Lock lights up when you press those keys; if they don’t, it might indicate a more significant failure.

I checked that, and the keyboard backlight works, including the Fn + Space shortcut. Even when the display doesn't light up, those still respond while the laptop is on.
