Help! Need to Factory Reset Zebra TC72 Stuck in Lockdown

I'm in a bit of a bind and hoping for some help. I've got four Zebra TC72 scanners that are currently stuck in a lockdown mode after they interrupted an agent update due to some unexpected Wi-Fi issues. Now, all I see are outlines of the apps with their names under them, and a hard reset isn't working. These scanners are offline right now, so I can't manage them through SOTI either.

The scan button activates the laser, but it's not registering scans at all, and I can't access the Stagenow app. We also don't have a USB cradle or a PC to connect the SD card for a reset, which I believe are the only options Zebra has listed. Why isn't there just a simple factory reset option in recovery mode? That would make things way too easy, right? If anyone has a workaround to magically reset these devices on-site, I'd greatly appreciate it!

I found that holding down the black PTT button while powering on the TC72 can sometimes boot it into recovery mode. From there, I've been able to perform factory resets on other models like the TC26 and TC27. Just a thought!

I did try that. It does enter recovery mode, but it doesn’t have a simple factory reset option—only the ability to load a file via USB or SD. It would be so much easier if they just included a reset option there!
