I'm really struggling to remove Gemini from my devices. It seriously bothers me because it distracts me from diving into my own research and the joy of discovery. I'm looking for a way to remove it from both my Chromebook and my Android phone. Any suggestions?

Unfortunately, you can't remove Gemini from your phone since it's set to replace Google Assistant eventually. It's kind of built-in and permanent. But if you want to disable it, try going to your assistant settings and switching back to Google Assistant. If you have the Gemini app, you can uninstall it, but it might come back after updates. I'm not sure how effective that is long-term, though.
I hear you on the frustration! If you can uninstall the Gemini app and turn your assistant back to Google Assistant under the settings, that might help. Just keep in mind, you’ll probably have to redo this every time there’s an update. A bit of a hassle, but it's something!
If you're really fed up with it, maybe consider switching to a flip phone? Just saying, it gets rid of all those annoying features!
