Hey everyone! I'm looking to upgrade my PC and could use some advice. I've settled on getting an RX 9060XT 16GB GPU since it fits my needs pretty well. However, I'm questioning whether the Ryzen 7 5700X is a good choice for my setup. I'm still on AM4, but I'm also considering moving up to AM5 to get the most out of my new GPU. The AM5 upgrade would require a new motherboard and CPU cooler, which could be costly. I mainly play games at 1080P and work on various projects, so I'm not sure if I should stick with the 5700X or make the jump to AM5 now. I'm upgrading from an R5 5600GT and an RTX 3050 8GB. Any insights would be appreciated! Thanks!

For your GPU, definitely go with the 5700X. It should pair really well and give you great performance.
If you're staying on AM4, the 5700X3D will serve you just fine. But if you're going AM5, I'd recommend the 7700X or 9700X for a balance of performance and price. If budget allows, the 7800X3D is currently on sale and could be a fantastic investment.
Going with the Ryzen 7 5700X is a solid choice for your setup. If you want performance that really matches the RX 9060XT, you could also consider the 5700X3D or 5800X3D, but both are optional. There's no rush to upgrade everything right now, but if you decide to go for AM5, the 9800X3D is a great pick, just keep in mind you'll need new RAM too.
The 5600GT should hold up pretty well for most games. If you're looking for higher FPS, the 5700X is definitely worth considering. You could also try sticking with your current setup for a bit and see how it performs before making a full switch to AM5 later on. The 5700X3D would also be a good match for the 9060XT if you can find it in stock.
