I've got an old Seasonic 850 power supply that I've used for about 5 years in my 3900X/3070 setup. I'm planning to move it to my new 9800X3D/5070TI build. Is it a good idea to keep using it, or do power supplies lose their reliability over time? Are there any specific reasons why I shouldn't use my old power supply for this new build?

It's tough to predict exactly how a power supply might perform as it ages, so checking the warranty is a solid sign of reliability. As long as your PSU has the right connectors you need, it should work well for your new setup.
Wattage-wise, you should be perfectly fine with your old PSU. It should handle your new components without any issues.
By the way, why did you choose the 5070TI over the 9070XT? You might be missing out on some extra VRAM and benefits like smart access memory. Both potentially offer 16GB of VRAM, but the 9070XT outperforms the 5070TI significantly!
Higher-end Seasonic power supplies typically come with a warranty of 10-12 years, so yours should last long enough. If it's a FOCUS GX-850, you’re probably in good shape for a while! Just make sure it has all the necessary connectors for your new build.
