My PC is Overheating Despite New Case and High Fan Speeds — Any Tips?

I've got an RTX 3080 and I'm using a Corsair 4000D case. Even with all my fans running at maximum speed, my GPU temperatures are hitting 90 degrees Celsius. I maintain my PC regularly, so dust isn't the issue. I live in a really hot climate, but I'm looking for solutions to cool down my system. Any recommendations on what I can buy or do?

More info would help! Is your GPU running at 90C for the whole die or just a hotspot? What's the temps for your VRAM and CPU? Have you checked if all GPU fans are operational? And is the card still running on stock settings? Some GPUs, like the Ampere series, can get hot but undervolting might be worth trying.

I'm not sure about hotspots, but MSI Afterburner shows 90C. My CPU is around 50-60C, and yes, the GPU fans are working. Everything's stock settings. Undervolting sounds complicated; I'll look into it though. Thanks!

Check your airflow. You should be able to feel a good breeze from front to back in your case. If all your fans are fighting each other, it won’t do much for cooling. Make sure the airflow is optimal!

What temps are you referring to, specifically? Is it your CPU or GPU? If it's the GPU, you might want to check the thermal paste. It could be dried out, especially after a few years, and a reapply might help cool it down.

It's definitely the GPU. How often should I change the thermal paste? I've had my card for about three years now.

Consider your room's temperature too! Has the thermal paste or pads been replaced? The 3080 is a bit older now so they might need it. What's the average temperature of your room? Around 30 degrees?

I had a similar overheating issue in my setup. My brother solved his by getting an AC fan that he directed towards his intake, which made a big difference. Also, consider adjusting your fan speeds; going all out might not be the best for airflow in your case. What are your other specs and how's your CPU cooler?

I tried adjusting fan speeds, but it didn't really help. Thanks, though!
