I'm building my first gaming PC and I've already got quite a few parts, including the Deepcool CC360 white cabinet and the Intel i5 14600k CPU. However, I'm a bit confused about which RAM to choose. I noticed that Intel's specifications mention a maximum support of 5600MHz, but I'm wondering if I can go for 6000MHz or even higher with my setup. Here are the details of my build:
- Motherboard: Asrock B760 Steel Legend
- Current RAM: Kingston Fury Beast 5200MHz 16GB x2
- SSD: WD Black SN770 1TB
- Cooler: Arctic Freezer 36A
- GPU: Asrock Intel Arc B580 Steel Legend
- PSU: Thermaltake Toughpower GF A3 Gold 750W
I appreciate any help on this!

Check the supported RAM speeds for your motherboard instead of just the CPU. Your Asrock B760 Steel Legend can support up to 7200MHz with overclocking, so you have some flexibility. I'd definitely recommend aiming for at least 6000MHz rather than sticking to the 5600MHz limit.
That's helpful! So I should go for 6000MHz? I’ll confirm the XMP readiness first, thanks!
