First-Time Build Not Posting: Could My RAM Be the Issue?

I'm in the middle of my first PC build and have run into a problem where my system won't post. I have the following components: Teamgroup Tforce Delta RGB 32GB DDR5 RAM, Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite AX Rev 1.3 motherboard, AMD 9800X3D CPU, Arctic Liquid Freezer III 240mm cooler, and a 5070 FE GPU. Initially, I checked compatibility on PCPartPicker, which said everything should work together. However, while Teamgroup's site confirms the RAM is compatible with the motherboard and the AMD 9000 series, Gigabyte's site doesn't list this RAM in their supported modules. I've emailed Gigabyte about this, but I'm trying to figure out if the RAM might be the cause of my not posting issue. Right now, I've connected the 24-pin ATX, CPU, and GPU to my power supply. When I turn on the PSU, a purple light comes on briefly before it shuts off, and nothing else powers up, including the RGB on my cooler. Before I install everything in the case, I'm hoping to get some insight—any thoughts?

It's pretty rare that RAM would actually be incompatible, especially with DDR5 on a board that supports it. But you might want to check your connections again just to be sure. Sometimes, it's a different issue altogether, like a short or a PSU problem that could be causing it not to post.

Have you updated the BIOS yet? That's usually a good first step when troubleshooting. Even if others have had success with your setup right out of the box, it’s worth a shot. You might need to flash the BIOS based on the motherboard version you're using.

I haven't tried flashing the BIOS yet; I was planning to check that next. I read that some people could boot the rev 1.3 boards with the 9800X3D right away, so I wanted to see if it would post without that first.
