Hey everyone! I'm pretty new to PC building and have put together a build based on some research from YouTube and chatting with friends. Here are the components I've selected:
- **CPU:** AMD RYZEN 7 9800X3D (8-Core, 16-Thread)
- **Cooler:** Thermaltake TH360 V2 Ultra ARGB Liquid Cooler
- **Motherboard:** ASUS Prime B650-PLUS (supports DDR5 and PCIe 5.0)
- **GPU:** ASUS TUF Gaming RTX5070 Ti OC (16GB DDR7)
- **Memory:** CORSAIR VENGEANCE DDR5 64GB (2x32GB, 6400MHz)
- **Storage:** Samsung 990 Evo Plus NVMe SSD (1TB)
- **PSU:** ASUS ROG Thor 850W Platinum II (Fully Modular)
- **Case:** ASUS TUF Gaming GT501 White Edition (Mid-Tower)
- **Monitor:** ASUS ROG Strix 27 4K HDR USB-C Gaming Monitor (133Hz)
I'm aiming to play games like Cyberpunk, GTA, Ghost of Tsushima, and Red Dead Redemption at high graphics. I'm not planning to use this for content creation, just gaming. Do you think this build is suitable for my needs? Are any components too high-end for what I want to do?

You might want to consider swapping the RAM for a 6000 CL30 kit. It'll make things simpler since you can just enable EXPO in BIOS for better performance. Also, the PSU seems a bit overkill; you can probably save some money there. For your case, look for one with better airflow to keep everything cool without making too much noise.
Oh, and for your monitor, you might be paying too much. The XG27UCG is a solid 4K panel, but for the same price, you could get a 1440p QD-OLED that offers way better contrast and motion clarity!
Lastly, the 360mm AIO cooler is decent but unnecessary for the 9800X3D; a good air cooler should do the trick! Here's a link that might help you: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/hBvVQd
Honestly, you paired a powerful GPU with a top-tier CPU, which makes it hard to cut corners. It's definitely a high-end setup, especially if you're aiming for AAA games at high 4K graphics. If you're just looking at the rest of the build, I think you're actually in a great spot! Don't stress too much about 'overkill' since it sounds like you're looking for top performance. Just make sure everything works well together, and you're good to go!
I appreciate the reassurance! I just wanted to ensure I wasn't missing anything major. Thanks!
