Frustrated with Archcraft! What’s a Good, Stable Alternative?

I've been trying out Archcraft and, while I initially loved its openbox setup because it looks great and is lightweight, I've run into some serious issues. Every time there's an update, it seems to break something, and it just isn't stable for me. Compared to regular Arch, it's a hassle since Arch is a bit harder to manage but generally more reliable. Could anyone recommend a stable Linux distribution that is preconfigured similar to Archcraft?

Check out Mabox Linux! It uses Openbox similar to Archcraft, and it’s pretty user-friendly too. You can find it [here](https://maboxlinux.org/).

Thanks for the suggestion! Is Mabox easy to use, and does it utilize pacman or dnf?

If you’re looking for stability, consider Debian with the LXDE desktop. It’s lightweight and uses Openbox as well. You can grab it from [here](https://cdimage.debian.org/debian-cd/current-live/amd64/iso-hybrid/debian-live-12.11.0-amd64-lxde.iso). Also, CrunchBang++ and BunsenLabs might be great options since they also use Openbox.

I recommend giving Manjaro a shot! I’ve been using it for a while now in a production environment without any issues. It’s pretty stable and user-friendly.

For a solid experience, you can't go wrong with Debian, Mint, or Ubuntu LTS. They all have regular release cycles and are known for their stability. Just a heads-up, even standard Arch isn't as stable as you'd think; it's a rolling release after all.
