I recently added an old hard drive from my laptop to my Windows 11 PC for some extra storage. I formatted and wiped the drive successfully, but when I tried to turn on my computer later, it got stuck in recovery mode. I disconnected the new drive thinking it was trying to boot from it, but that didn't help. I checked the BIOS settings, and it looks like my PC is attempting to boot from the right drive. I'm not quite sure what went wrong or how to fix this issue.

If all else fails, I think resetting your PC and reinstalling Windows could be an option too. Since you mainly use this computer for games, it sounds like you wouldn’t lose anything critical, and it might save you some hassle.
It sounds like your PC might be confused due to having two boot partitions. If that other drive was previously a boot drive, it could mess things up. You should try going through the recovery process to see if it can fix your startup issue.
First, try removing the old drive you added and booting your PC normally. Once you're back in Windows, you can reconnect the drive and use diskpart to run the clean command. This should clear any issues and get everything back to normal.
