I'm considering a trade that involves swapping my Ryzen 5 5600X along with its motherboard and RAM for an Intel i7 13700F with equivalent RAM and a 12GB 3060, replacing my current 8GB OC 6600XT. The i7 comes from an ASUS prebuilt and is about a year or two old, and I've heard some concerns about the 13th gen Intel CPUs having issues. Since this upgrade is essentially free, I'm also wondering what I should replace first. I just got a Thermaltake View 71 case for $35 and plan to add some Thermalright RGB fans, but now I'm kinda second-guessing the switch since I would be moving from AMD to Intel and switching to NVIDIA. Any advice on whether I should go through with this?

I’d think twice before jumping to the 13th gen Intel CPUs, especially since they’ve had some issues and a new microcode is in the works to address these faults. If you're getting a used one, it could have some underlying problems.

I'd advise against the 3060. The 6600 XT generally performs better on average, but if you play games that support ray tracing and DLSS, the 3060 could be a bit better. Check benchmarks for your games to be sure. The i7 13700F might be a solid upgrade for gaming if you decide to go through with it.
That's what I was thinking too, but that extra 4GB of VRAM on the 3060 is hard to ignore!
