I'm excited to finally build my first PC, but I've only done some research over the last few days. Here are the components I've chosen so far:
- **CPU**: AMD RYZEN 7 9800x3d
- **CPU Cooler**: Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
- **Motherboard**: MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WiFi Gaming Motherboard
- **Memory**: G.Skill Flare X5 64GB
- **Storage**: Samsung 970 Evo Plus 1TB
- **Video Card**: MSI GeForce RTX 3060 Ventus 2X
- **Case**: NZXT H9 Flow
- **Power Supply**: MSI MAG A650BN Gaming Power Supply (650W)
- **Operating System**: Unsure if I should buy it or install from a USB?
- **Monitor**: Koorui 200Hz 24"
I haven't bought any of it yet and could really use some advice on compatibility or if there's a better option out there. Am I missing anything important?

Definitely go for an 850W PSU if you plan to do any future upgrades—trust me, it pays off. Also, consider a larger monitor; a 27" screen would enhance your gaming experience. Lastly, maybe think about getting a better GPU, like the 7800 XT if you can, since it’ll give you a performance boost over the 3060. But overall, everything looks pretty good!
It looks like a solid build, but I recommend getting at least a 750 or 850W power supply for more future upgrade options. The one you've chosen (650W) might limit your upgrades later on. Also, when it comes to storage, consider upgrading to a 2TB NVMe SSD if your budget permits. If that’s too costly, brands like Seagate Barracuda are great alternatives. And speaking of the motherboard, make sure it supports Wi-Fi 7 since that adds a nice upgrade option too!
Thanks for the input! What brands do you suggest for the power supply?
Thanks! Is the 7800 XT really better than the 9800x3d though?
