Affordable Options for Stock Market Data APIs?

Hey everyone! I'm working on a stock-focused tool and have hit a snag with data costs. I need basic market data like prices and volume, and it's totally fine if it's delayed. However, most APIs that allow commercial use are way too pricey—like Polygon, which charges around $2K a month for a business plan. Since I'm pre-launch and without any revenue, I'm hoping to find something that's more budget-friendly. Are there any APIs you've used that are startup-friendly or at least reasonably priced? Thanks for any tips!

Live data can be super expensive. If you're just looking for a demo, consider using data that has a delay, like 15 minutes. It tends to be much cheaper!

That's what I'm currently doing! I'm okay with some delay, but I really want to find an option that gives me enough calls per day without breaking the bank. I just need it to be startup-friendly to get user feedback.

Have you checked out yfinance? It's a popular option for stock data, and it might work for your needs.

I looked into yfinance, but I heard it's discontinued for public use now. I'd have to rely on a third party, which complicates things.
