Hey everyone! I recently built my first PC featuring a 5060 Ti with 16GB of VRAM, and I'm currently using a 27" 1080p monitor. The resolution doesn't quite meet my expectations, and I'm thinking about upgrading to a 27" 1440p monitor. However, I'm concerned that my 5060 Ti might struggle with gaming and running background applications.
I usually play demanding games like Helldivers 2, Tarkov, and Destiny 2, and I like to keep a few apps like Discord and Spotify running in the background. I'm not super picky about frame rates, but I'd love to maintain around 60+ FPS smoothly. I'm okay sacrificing some graphical settings, aiming mostly for medium to high quality for better visual clarity.
Do you think upgrading to 1440p is worth it with my current setup, or will it bottleneck my gaming experience? I've included my full build below in case anyone spots any potential issues:

I’ve played 2k on my setup too, and while some games might require DLSS or frame-gen adjustments, most will run smoothly. Just be aware that Helldivers 2 can be a bit tricky due to its engine.
Yeah, I agree that 1440p is a great resolution these days. It really isn't too demanding anymore for mid-range PCs, and it looks way better than 1080p. DLSS can also make a huge difference in demanding AAA titles.
Honestly, you don't have to worry too much. Your setup is solid, and using DLSS can give you a nice performance boost if needed!
You should be just fine with 1440p! You might need to tweak some settings down on particularly demanding games, but generally, you'll be able to play on high settings without much trouble.
