How Can I Access BIOS on My Gigabyte Z390 UD?

I'm having trouble accessing the BIOS on my Gigabyte Z390 UD motherboard. No matter how many times I try to press the DEL key on boot or go through Windows Advanced Startup, it just boots straight into Windows every time. The only time I managed to see a boot menu was when I accidentally corrupted Windows and used a USB to reinstall it, which allowed me to select the boot device.

I need to access the BIOS to enable TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot to fix the Valorant VAN9005 error. Here are my specs:
- Motherboard: Gigabyte Z390 UD
- CPU: Intel with integrated graphics
- GPU: Dedicated card (currently using HDMI on the GPU)
- BIOS Mode: UEFI
- Secure Boot: OFF
- TPM: Not detected (tpm.msc shows no compatible TPM)

I recently reset the CMOS battery, but I still can't get into the BIOS—just a black screen. I've already tried different monitors, HDMI ports, and a USB boot. Would removing my GPU help force the BIOS to display on the motherboard HDMI? Any tips would be appreciated!

Removing the graphics card and then connecting your display directly to the motherboard could be a smart move. It might push you into the BIOS screen since the GPU isn't in the way.

Have you tried plugging your keyboard into a USB 2.0 port instead of a USB 3.0? Sometimes the 3.0 ports don't register until Windows boots, which could be the issue here. Give that a shot and see if it helps!

That could be it! I had the same problem once. Switching ports made a huge difference.

When you turn on your PC, keep tapping the Delete key repeatedly until it either loads the BIOS screen or boot into Windows. If that doesn't work, switching USB ports might help too!

I’ve tried that so many times, and I feel like I’m losing my mind over it!
