Why does my computer keep booting into BIOS instead of Windows?

I haven't used my computer for about a year, and it used to boot into Windows without any issues. Now, every time I start it up, it goes straight to the BIOS. Does anyone know what might be causing this and how I can fix it?

You should try setting and saving your BIOS settings, especially after replacing the battery if it turns out to be the issue.

Check the boot order in the BIOS. If it's set incorrectly, your computer may not be recognizing the drive that's supposed to load Windows.

Make sure the BIOS is detecting your SSD or HDD properly. If it's not recognized, that could explain why it's booting into the BIOS instead of loading Windows.

It sounds like you might have a dead CMOS battery. Replacing it could help reset your BIOS settings and allow your computer to boot into Windows again.
