Should I Choose the 5070 Ti or 9070 XT for My Next GPU?

I'm looking to upgrade my GPU, and I'm considering either the "MSI 5070 Ti Shadow 3X OC" or the "Sapphire Pulse RX 9070 XT." The 5070 Ti is priced at $1050, while the 9070 XT is $950. I primarily play games like GTA V and Cyberpunk 2077, and I also use my PC for simulators like DCS and MSFS, as well as PC VR on Quest 3. My main monitor has a resolution of 3440x1440. I currently have a B660 motherboard, 32GB of DDR4 3200 MHz RAM, and an i5 12400 CPU. Should I invest in the 5070 Ti for the extra cost, or is the 9070 XT a better deal?

The decision really hinges on pricing. If you're comparing $1000 for the 5070 Ti and $1100 for the 9070 XT, I'd say opt for the 5070 Ti. But if the difference is just $700 for the 9070 XT and $800, then the AMD card makes more sense. Also, the CPU upgrade from i5 12400 to i5 14400 won't drastically improve your FPS in most games, so I'd save the money there.

I see your point, but the 5070 Ti's benefits seem worth it, especially at those prices.

While both cards perform similarly, the 5070 Ti has that edge due to DLSS 4. If there's a $50-$100 difference, go for the 5070 Ti. I actually chose the 9070 XT myself because I got it for a steal at $650, hoping to upgrade later on.

Avoid the MSI Ventus model; I’ve heard concerns about its build quality. Go for the Sapphire Pulse or a more reputable version for better longevity.

5070 Ti is a solid pick, especially for DLSS 4. That $100 difference is just a small price to pay for the benefits you'll gain.

I'd go for the 5070 Ti! The extra $100 is worth it for all the NVIDIA features, especially if you care about DLSS 4.
