Hey everyone! I'm thinking about upgrading my PC so that I can switch from Windows 10 to Windows 11. I recently purchased two 16GB DDR4 RAM sticks, but now I'm questioning if I should scrap those for DDR5 instead. It's been about 6-7 years since my last upgrade, and I run an older setup. My current components (that I remember) are: Motherboard: Asus B450, CPU: Ryzen 5 1800, RAM: Corsair Vengeance 3600 16GB, GPU: RTX 2080, Power Supply: EVGA 750w. I'm considering whether to just upgrade my CPU and keep my existing motherboard and RAM or if I should do a full overhaul to support a newer CPU and DDR5. Any advice?

You actually don't need to upgrade everything just to get Windows 11. There are some workarounds for the hardware requirements. If your existing setup is running smoothly for what you need, you could stick with the Ryzen 5 and DDR4 for now. It might save you a lot of hassle and money!
That's good to know! I was worried my hardware wouldn’t be compatible. I’ll look into the workarounds more. Thanks!
