Hey everyone! I'm planning on upgrading my PC gradually, and I've just switched my CPU from a Ryzen 7 2700 to a 5800X. Now, I'm on the hunt for a GPU that can handle 1440p gaming without bottlenecking, and I'm trying to stick to a budget. I've been eyeing the Intel Arc B580, but I'm also considering options like the 4060 or RX 9060. What are your thoughts?

Why go for the 4060? It only has 8GB of VRAM and isn't really suited for good performance at 1440p. The 9060 XT is a much better bet.
Just go for the RX 9060 XT 16GB or even consider a used card that has at least 12GB VRAM. It’ll make a big difference in performance.
The Intel Arc B580 can have issues when paired with "weaker" CPUs. It might be worth looking up some info on "Arc B580 overhead issues" to see if the R7 5800X is considered weak. But honestly, don't stress too much about bottlenecks; every setup has one to some degree. For budget 1440p, stick with the RX 9060 XT 16GB or the RTX 5060 TI with 16GB.
If you can swing it, definitely get the Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB. If that’s out of reach, then the Arc B580 is your next best option.
For 1440p gaming in 2025, an 8GB GPU really won't cut it anymore. I recommend going for the RX 9060 XT with 16GB VRAM. You can snag one for around $360, and it's definitely a solid choice moving forward. Anything else won’t perform as well, especially with the increasing VRAM demands from newer games.
I totally agree about the 8GB issue! With many games shifting to Unreal Engine 5, more VRAM is a must.
