Need Help Optimizing My First PC Build Under £1.5k

Hey everyone! I'm diving into building my first PC and I want to make sure I get the best components for my budget of around £1.5k. Here's what I have in mind so far:

- **GPU**: RTX 5070
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 7 7800x3d (4.2 GHz, 8-core)
- **Case**: O11 Vision Compact
- **Motherboard**: MSI B650 Gaming PLUS WIFI (ATX, AM5)
- **RAM**: Open for suggestions, ideally 32GB or more
- **Storage**: Looking for 2TB (SSD or HDD?)
- **Cooling**: Open to AIO options
- **Fans**: No idea what to get here
- **OS**: Windows 10 (I prefer this over Windows 11)

I'd love any suggestions for the parts marked with "???" since I'm unsure what would be best for my needs. I plan to use this PC for heavy editing in After Effects, some 3D modeling in Blender and Element 3D, and gaming. It's crucial for me to have the system run games smoothly at high framerate (1080p+) with minimal delay.

I don't plan to upgrade in the future, so I want to make sure I have the best possible components. Aesthetics matter too, so I'd prefer RGB on the cooling system. I'm also fine with waiting for price drops for better deals. I'm based in the UK, so keep that in mind. Thanks for any help!

Your choices look solid, especially the CPU and motherboard! Just a heads up, it's good to stick with Nvidia if you're comfortable with it, even if it sacrifices some raw performance. But definitely check whether your 3D software runs better on Nvidia versus AMD, just in case!

For the parts you were uncertain about:
- **RAM**: 32GB of 6000MHz CL30 is plenty. If you can, consider going for 48GB for future-proofing, but check that it won't mess with your speeds if you're using different slots.
- **Storage**: Go for a 2TB M.2 PCIe drive with TLC cache, that’ll give you the best performance.
- **Cooling**: The Arctic Liquid Freezer 3 (240mm) is a great AIO option if you want efficient cooling.
- **Fans**: You can always add those later if airflow is a concern with your case.

Overall, looks like a solid build to me!

Thanks for the suggestions! I’m definitely leaning towards getting 32GB, and I’ll look into that AIO cooler. It’s good to know I can add fans later if needed.

Your hardware lineup is looking pretty good! I think the Ryzen 7 7800x3d paired with the RTX 5070 will handle games and editing without a hitch. Just make sure the 3D modeling software you use plays better with Nvidia or AMD. If there's a cheaper AMD option like the 9070XT, it might be worth considering, but if you're set on Nvidia, go for it!

As for the question marks:
- **RAM**: Aim for a 32GB kit at the speeds you’ve mentioned.
- **Storage**: Go for that 2TB M.2 drive! It'll give you fast load times.
- **Cooling**: A good AIO with RGB would fit your aesthetic well.
- **Fans**: You could always buy those later on.

Overall, great choice for your first build!

Thanks for the feedback! I’ll definitely look into the 2TB M.2 for speed. And I appreciate the input on keeping it chill for now with the fans!
