Help with iPhone 15 Plus Battery Issues and Random Shutdowns

I recently bought an iPhone 15 Plus from Apple, and everything was great until about a week ago. I started to notice a big gap between the battery percentage shown and the actual power left in my phone. For instance, it would drop from 60% to 10% in just twenty minutes. Despite the battery health showing as normal in the settings, I wasn't sure what was happening.

Then yesterday, I realized that whenever the battery hit 50%, the phone would completely shut down and restart, only to come back on with around 10% battery. I read online that fully draining the battery and then fully recharging it could help with the estimated charge, so I tried that. However, today my iPhone started a loop of shutting down and rebooting every time I tried to use it. Now, I can't change any settings without it immediately shutting down again. I'm currently abroad for three months with no Apple stores within a 20-hour distance and might have to use a burner phone. I'm really disappointed since I paid a lot for this device and it's malfunctioning so soon. Does anyone have advice or tips on how to fix this kind of issue on my own?

It sounds like a frustrating situation! Since you're abroad, you could try calling Apple Support in the country where you purchased the phone. They can perform remote diagnostics and may help pinpoint if the battery is faulty. It’s good to have that information on file in case you need service later. Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion! I haven't tried reaching out to them yet, but I will definitely give that a shot!
