Hey everyone! I just graduated from a top university in Canada with a computer science degree, but I've been feeling a bit lost lately. During my degree, I drifted away from my original passion for CS due to some personal issues and didn't get to work on extra projects. I really miss that excitement of creating solutions! It feels overwhelming to dive into the job market since it seems saturated, and I notice that many recruiters are only interested in ML/AI and similar trends. I'm not looking to pursue a master's degree right now, but I want to build a portfolio, network, learn more math related to ML, and eventually find a job. Right now, I'm struggling to find a direction and I just need some guidance to get started. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Consider making a personal website with a cool frontend and a backend using Java Spring. Once it's up and running, keep adding features! This will be a great addition to your portfolio and LinkedIn.
Just build something! Find a project that interests you and start there. It doesn’t have to be complex; just get your hands dirty with coding and create something real.
Honestly? Sometimes you might feel overwhelmed, and that’s okay. Take a moment to breathe and just get started. Remember to take things one step at a time.
