Hi everyone! I'm using Fedora 42 KDE on my Acer Nitro V15 (which has an AMD Ryzen 7 7735HS and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060). I've been enjoying Linux for about a week, but ran into some trouble while troubleshooting my microphone. I decided to disable secure boot, and when I turned my laptop back on and pressed F12, I got a strange boot menu with three Fedora options and UEFI settings. I selected the UEFI options, and although it started booting, it got stuck on the logo for a long time. After a forced shutdown, my laptop now shows a black screen. The keyboard lights up and the fans are running, but I can't get to the boot menu or Fedora. I'm really stuck here and haven't found anyone else with this exact problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Acer BIOSes can be pretty buggy, I've been in similar situations before. You might need to clear the CMOS data—this involves opening the laptop, unplugging the charger and both the main battery and the CMOS battery (often under the main one), and waiting a minute before plugging it all back in. Just a heads-up, this will reset your BIOS settings, so you'll need to reconfigure them afterwards. It generally helps!
I'm hesitant to open the laptop since it could void the warranty. I did find a hole on the back that the manual mentions for simulating the battery disconnection. Could that work instead?
