Trouble with High GPU Temperatures After Upgrading CPU

I've recently upgraded my CPU from a 9900k to a 7700x, and now I'm noticing unusually high temperatures on my GPU, which is a Gigabyte 3060. My current CPU cooler is a Phantom Spirit 120SE. Currently, I'm seeing peak temperatures of around 105°C on the GPU hotspot, with an average of about 65°C while gaming and 55°C when idle. I'm looking for advice on how to manage these temperatures better. Any help would be much appreciated!

When you say "high GPU temps," what specific numbers are you seeing? Based on your GPU getting high temps after upgrading to the 7700x, it's likely that the new CPU isn't bottlenecking your GPU anymore, which might be causing it to run at higher loads.

I just added the temperature details to my post.

For GPU temperatures, anything between 60°C to 70°C is generally considered normal under load. If you’re hitting the 70°C to 80°C range, it's getting a bit hot, but many GPUs handle that well. However, anything over 80°C could start to affect the lifespan of your card. It's definitely a good idea to look into improving your cooling setup, possibly even upgrading your case since that can have a significant impact on overall temperatures.

I use a Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 case, and it has great airflow!
