I just got a prebuilt gaming PC, which is super exciting! However, I'm facing a major issue with the internet speed—it's painfully slow to the point where downloading games takes ages. Right now, my PC is getting a download speed of only 3 Mbps, while my laptop connected to the same Wi-Fi and at the same distance from the router is getting around 260 Mbps. I've done a bit of research and tried updating the network driver, but it says it's up to date. I've also checked for any programs that might be using up my bandwidth, but nothing showed up in the control panel. I feel pretty lost and would appreciate any help!

Did you remember to connect the antennas to the WiFi card? That can really make a difference! When you say you've Googled and tried everything, it would help to share a bit more about what you've done so we can pinpoint the issue better. Otherwise, we might be playing twenty questions to get to the bottom of this!
Oh, sorry for the confusion! I should have detailed my attempts more. I checked the network driver and it's up to date. I also looked for any background programs using bandwidth through Task Manager, but didn’t find any culprits there. I haven't connected any antennas to the WiFi card—what do I need to do for that?
