Best PSU Options for My New Build?

Asked By PixelPioneer42 On

I'm looking for a solid power supply unit (PSU) for my upcoming build, and I'm considering either the 9070 or the 5070; however, I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the choices available. Ideally, I'm searching for a PSU that offers a good warranty and costs no more than $90. I came across the Asrock PG750G PSU, which seems nice on paper, but it exceeds my budget. If I decide to go with the 5070, do I specifically need to get an ATX 3.1 PSU? Here's a link to my build for reference: [PCPartPicker Link](https://pcpartpicker.com/list/Lhxq2x). Any other suggestions for components would be appreciated!

Check out this spreadsheet: [Link to PSU List](https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1akCHL7Vhzk_EhrpIGkz8zTEvYfLDcaSpZRB6Xt6JWkc/edit?gid=1973454078#gid=1973454078). It should help you figure out which PSUs are high quality without having to guess.

If your case supports it, go for the RM750x 80 PLUS Gold Fully Modular ATX Power Supply. It's got a modular side interface and is ATX 3.0 & PCIe 5.0 compatible, plus it's got features like Zero RPM Fan Mode.

You might want to consider one of the Cooler Master modular models like the 750W or 850W. They might be slightly over $90, but they're great quality for the price.

The Montech Century II 850W PSU is a great option! It's around $85 and comes with a 10-year warranty which is solid for the price.

Corsair's RMx series might be out of your price range, but they do provide a 10-year warranty. Some Seasonic options even offer a warranty of up to 12 years, which is impressive.

Yeah, the Corsair models can be pricey. I'd definitely look into the Seasonic ones.
