Hey everyone! I'm in the process of building a PC around the Intel Core i9-14900K and I'm a bit lost on which DDR5 RAM to get. From what I've found:
- Intel recommends DDR5-5600 MT/s as the official speed.
- Many guides suggest going for faster options like 6000 MT/s or even 6400 MT/s, but there's no consensus on the best choice.
- I'm also unsure about what CAS latency is ideal for balance between speed and stability.
I'm looking for a white RGB memory kit, similar to the Corsair Vengeance RGB, and I want 2x32GB sticks. I know that's more than what most gaming setups need, but I multitask a lot (like having multiple games and tabs open).
Here are my main questions:
1. Should I stick with DDR5-5600 for guaranteed stability, or is it worth it to go for DDR5-6000 or higher?
2. What CAS latency strikes the best balance of speed and stability?
3. Any specific recommendations for white RGB RAM kits that work well with the i9-14900K?
I'll also need help with other components like the motherboard and cooler, so let me know if you're willing to help! Thanks a bunch!

I'd recommend going for at least DDR5-6000 with a CAS latency of CL30. Intel CPUs generally handle faster RAM well, particularly with the 13th/14th gen models, where 7200CL34 is popular for top gaming performance. While 5600 is the official speed, most users go beyond that without stability issues.
Thanks! I've heard mixed things about 7200 being unstable, can you clarify why it’s a good choice if Intel's recommendation is lower?
