I recently dug out two old PCs from my childhood, one from when I was 15 and the other from when I was 20. The older one is working great with Windows XP and even has my old desktop setup just like I remember. It's been a trip down memory lane! Now, I'm trying to get the second one up and running. I took out the graphics card about 12 years ago for an upgrade, and now I'm struggling to get it to display anything. I've plugged in my VGA to HDMI adapter, which worked for the first PC, but there's no output on this one. It seems like it's trying to send a signal to a GPU that isn't there anymore. Is there a way to make it output from the CPU instead? I'm willing to buy a new graphics card if that's what it takes!

Have you thought about swapping the graphics card from your first PC to the second one? If you're not planning on using both PCs at the same time, that could be a quick fix! Just make sure it fits, though—sometimes the slots can be a bit picky.
Honestly, make sure not to connect that old XP machine to the internet. It's pretty much a virus magnet at this point. Just stick to offline fun, trust me!
I wasn’t planning to go online with it! Just curious why that’s such a big deal. Will it really get tons of viruses?
I tried that, but it doesn’t seem to fit. Guess I’ll have to look for another solution!
