Looking for Faster Solutions to Fix My Laptop’s Boot Issue

Hey everyone! So, I'm having some serious issues with my laptop not booting up properly, and my family friend in tech support suggested running "sfc /scannow" to fix any corruption. I've done that about 50 times over the last couple of days and honestly, it's not helping at all. I'm okay with wiping my laptop since I don't have much on it aside from some games I can redownload and schoolwork saved on OneDrive. However, when I try to reset it, I keep getting an error saying "an error occurred and no changes were made." I've also tried system restore and run the CHKDSK command to remove write protection, but nothing's working. Is there a quicker, more effective way to resolve these issues without spending hours rebooting? Any help would be appreciated! I have a 2020 Dell laptop and can access the BIOS if that's useful.

You might want to try reinstalling Windows directly using a USB drive. It sounds a bit drastic, but given you've run 'sfc /scannow' so many times without results, it could really help get your system back on track. Here's a guide to walk you through it: https://rtech.support/windows/. Just back up any important files first if you can!

That might be a bit much just for a corrupted file issue. Have you tried any other troubleshooting methods first?

Honestly, if 'sfc /scannow' hasn't worked after that many tries, it might indicate a bigger problem, like a failing SSD. You could check the SSD's health using a tool or get it looked at. Just a friendly heads up!

That’s worrying! What should I do if it is failing? Should I replace the SSD?
