I'm building a new PC and trying to decide between the RTX 4090 and the RTX 5090. The 4090 is about $900 cheaper, but I'm wondering if the extra performance of the 5090 justifies that cost. What do you guys think?

Honestly, the 5090 is only worth it if you're making money off of it, like content creation or serious gaming. Otherwise, it might just be too much to spend for the average user.
Have you checked the warranty on the 4090? That could be a factor in your decision.
If you've got the budget for the 5090, why not go for it? It's the newer model, so it should last longer for gaming, but just be careful with the 12v connector issues. Might be worth skipping both!
It really depends on your priorities. Are you okay with saving $900, or do you really value that extra performance? Think about how often you’ll use that power.
If you're thinking about the 5090 just to avoid upgrades for a long time, consider the 5080 instead unless you're making money from the extra features.
