I'm gearing up to build a new PC soon and I'm torn between two CPUs: the Ryzen 7 9800X3D and the Ryzen 9 9950X. I mainly game, but I also do content creation as a side gig, mostly producing video game essays around 1-2 hours long, recording at 1440p 60fps. Will the 9800X3D work well in Premiere Pro for my needs, or should I go for the 9950X as a more future-proof investment? Just to clarify, I'm pairing either with a 5070 Ti.

If you're looking for solid gaming performance and decent rendering times, the 9800X3D is a great choice. But if you prioritize faster rendering and content creation, the 9950X will outperform the 9800X3D. It really depends on how heavy your content creation workload is!
Totally agree! The 9800X3D can handle light content creation without a hitch. If your projects get more intense, then maybe consider the 9950X.
Long-term, the 9950X might be better for you, but the 9800X3D is definitely capable for everything you mentioned. If rendering times aren't critical for your side hustle, I’d stick with the 9800X3D.
For side projects, the 9800X3D is more than sufficient. Unless you rely on fast rendering for income, it’s the better deal.
Why not consider the 9950X3D? 😄 But if budget is a concern, the 9800X3D should definitely meet your needs!
Haha, it might be overkill for what you need, though!
If your primary focus is gaming, then the 9800X3D is perfect. But if you're doing a lot of rendering, consider investing in something with more cores. Just throwing it out there—have you thought about the 9950X3D? It's a bit pricier, but it packs a punch!
Yeah, just a bit too expensive for me right now! Plus, seems like overkill.
Yeah, it seems like you don't need the extra power of the 9950X unless you're pushing out a ton of content.
