Hey everyone! I was trying to install League of Legends and, as part of the process, it prompted me to update Windows. After the update finished, my computer restarted and started blue screening almost immediately. This actually happened to me yesterday too, and I had to fully reinstall Windows to fix it. I'd love to understand why this is happening to see if I can resolve it before I consider returning my PC.
The only update I see in Windows Update is a security intelligence update for Microsoft Defender, and I can't find an option to uninstall it. I've also tried various fixes I found online, like checking my graphics drivers, but no luck. Here are my PC specs for reference:
- Processor: Intel Core i9-14900KF
- OS: Windows 11 Home
- Memory: 32GB DDR5
- Graphics: Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER

It sounds like the blue screens you're encountering are linked to Battle.net.exe, which League uses. It's possible there's a bug with the game that's causing those crashes instead of a hardware issue. You might want to check if there's a patch available for League. Also, I recommend updating your BIOS if you haven't already—especially since you have a 14th gen CPU. Ignoring BIOS updates can lead to stability issues down the line.
Thanks for the info! Do you think it's worth returning the PC if I’m still under warranty?
