How Many FPS Can I Expect with My New Gaming PC?

I'm picking up a new PC later today with an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D processor, 32GB of memory, an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 12GB graphics card, and a 2TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. My main goal is to achieve over 200 FPS in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 at 1440p with all settings on low. I know this game isn't the best optimized, but I'm hoping this setup will be sufficient. If I can't hit that mark, I can always downscale to 1080p, but I'd prefer to stick with 1440p. Also, if I decide to upgrade in the future, would it be okay to pair a 5080 or 5090 with this Ryzen 7?

You're gonna be in good shape for FPS! I have similar specs but with a 4070 Ti, and I usually hit around 250 FPS on medium settings at 1440p. If you enable DLSS, you could even get around 280–320 FPS. Low settings should do the trick to get you over 200 FPS, for sure!

Honestly, if you're thinking about future upgrades, pairing the Ryzen 7 with a 5080 or 5090 should work well. Just keep in mind the 5070 might hold you back a bit in some demanding games; a 9070 XT could be a better option if you're focused on gaming.

With your specs, you should definitely get around 200+ FPS at 1440p with low settings! The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is a fantastic CPU for gaming, but do keep in mind that the RTX 5070 might bottleneck in some cases. If you want to use frame generation, that could help you push those numbers even higher!
