I've been having issues with my computer being super slow, probably because of some sketchy files I had on it. So I decided to move all my important documents to a flash drive and perform a factory reset. I left the reset running overnight, but when I checked this morning, my screen was flashing. It starts with the HP logo and loading symbol, then goes black for about 10 seconds, flashes a blue install screen for a moment with a message saying "Installing... 64% Please keep your computer on and plugged in. Your computer may restart a few times," and then it goes back to the black screen and HP logo. It's been stuck in this cycle for about half an hour now, and I really don't see the percentage moving. Should I be concerned?

I think your hard drive could be the issue here. You can find some good guides online on how to switch from an HDD to an SSD for your laptop model. Also, consider checking out some RAM upgrade options. If you're feeling adventurous, you can even try installing Windows 11 (even if it’s unsupported) using Rufus software. Good luck!
It sounds like your SSD or HDD might have failed during the reset, but good call on backing up your files! You can safely test it with a bootable OS that has hard drive checking tools. If you’re not tech-savvy, you might need assistance from tech support to figure it out.
What are the specs of your computer? Also, how old is it? Just curious about what you had on it that might have slowed it down in the first place!
Thanks for the tip! I’m not very familiar with that kind of testing. Is there a way I can do it without spending money or should I just reach out to a tech shop?
