I'm ready to upgrade from my current 1080ti and I'm curious about the process. Is replacing a GPU as easy as just swapping it out, or are there extra steps or components I should consider? Also, I'm looking for a good GPU upgrade suggestion. I'm considering options like the 9070 XT or something from the 5000 series, preferably for 1080p at 60FPS on ultra settings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

When swapping GPUs, especially if you’re moving from Nvidia to AMD, it’s smart to use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller). It’s a quick process—only takes about 5 minutes to remove old drivers before you shut down, switch in the new GPU, and install the drivers for it. Easy peasy!
If you're gaming at 1080p and aiming for 60 FPS, I’d recommend the 5070. It's a strong choice that should handle that easily for years to come!
Thank you! That sounds perfect for my needs!
You generally won’t need to replace anything else, but if you want an upgrade, consider going to 32GB of RAM. The 9070 XT is solid, but I’d suggest checking out the non-XT version instead—it’s $120 cheaper and only about 8% slower. Plus, it has all the same features! Here’s a link to check it out: [9070 Non-XT](https://pcpartpicker.com/product/KXkqqs/asrock-challenger-radeon-rx-9070-16-gb-video-card-rx9070-cl-16g). And, don’t forget to run DDU for the driver swap! Oh, and think about upgrading to a 1440p monitor later on.
Thank you! I'll definitely look into the 9070. I'm trying not to overspend if I can avoid it.
Thank you for the tip!
